Terms of use

Using OnTrack
OnTrack is alpha software provided free of charge and as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. It is used at the user's own risk.
Your data
Everything entered into OnTrack is stored locally, in a file the user controls, and backing it up is the user's own responsibility. OnTrack ships an automatic local backup and a manual JSON export — using either regularly is strongly recommended, especially before updating the app or the operating system.
Third-party content
OnTrack's posting-archive feature captures job listings from third-party websites at the user's request, for personal record-keeping. Captured content remains the property of whoever posted it; OnTrack claims no rights over it and stores it solely for the user's own use.
AI features
Where AI features are available, they operate on an API key supplied to a third-party provider signed up with separately. That provider's own terms govern its use. OnTrack does not resell, proxy, or mark up access to any AI provider.
No guarantee of continued availability
OnTrack is a small, independently run project. There's no guarantee it continues to be developed, updated, or distributed. Because the data is a standard SQLite file with a plain JSON export, nothing about it depends on the project continuing.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnTrack and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app or this website, including data loss.
Changes
These terms may change as the project evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
